It's been a pretty busy summer for us, but we've finally got time for a bit of a breather before our next show at Cairo Ale House in West Chicago!
Unfortunately, we did not advance to the final round of the Battle of the Bands at Side Street Studio Arts, but we still had a hell of a time and contributed to the largest crowd that's ever been there! We busted out a few more surprises to commemorate the occasion, debuting one of our newest songs, "The Contract," and performing "The Vaxx" live for the first time ever. The room was rowdy, blisteringly hot, and loud. There's something about performing that intimately close to your audience that just can't be replicated on a bigger stage!
All in all, we had a great time being a part of that battle and couldn't be more thankful to have the kinds of fans that got us so far in the competition in the first place. We couldn't have done it without you, and we're hard at work to keep giving you nothin' but our best.
The following day, we were able to decompress with another gig at the Brauerhouse in Lombard, alongside our old friends On My Six, as well as new friends in Atlanta is Burning and Bedside Alibi. It was a pleasure meeting everyone in the other bands- they were all class acts and each band absolutely killed it when they took the stage. The vibes were incredible.
We can't wait for more opportunities to share the stage with these fine folks again, so do yourselves a favor and drop by their pages to keep an eye on what they're up to, too!
Videos and photos from this show are currently available on our Facebook page- lots of great moments to check out, especially our cover of Black Sabbath's "N.I.B.". Madmann Productions took a ton of amazing shots- he works with On My Six regularly, but always captures the essence of a performance no matter which band he's shooting. Take some time to admire his photography!
In the weeks since, we've been keeping up the pace through the writing of more new material, hunting down more gigs, and planning for the rest of the year's creative output. This may or may not include some new video material...
You can catch us at our next gig on September 10th, at Cairo Ale House in West Chicago. We're looking forward to an evening full of music, and bringing our own particular brand of chaos to the stage for everyone to see!
Expect some updates on this website in the near future, but for now, mark those calendars, check out those other bands, and get ready for more of WHAT LIES AHEAD!
